Audit trail & certificate

Every document on Signed builds a complete evidence log automatically. This is the feature that makes an e-signed agreement defensible later.

What's recorded

• Every event in the document's life — sent, viewed, signed, completed — with a timestamp.
• Every signer's identity — name, the email address the request went to, and the IP address of each action.
• Consent — each signer's agreement to do business electronically, captured in the signing flow (designed to satisfy the US ESIGN Act and UETA).

The Certificate of Completion

When the final signer finishes, the log is compiled into a Certificate of Completion delivered with the completed PDF. It is tamper-evident: the certificate is bound to the exact contents of the signed document, so any later alteration is detectable.

Where to find it

Open any completed document from your dashboard to download the signed PDF and its certificate. Both remain available to download whenever you need them — for your records, your counterparty, or your lawyer.
