Sending & signing

Field types, signing order, reminders, expiration, and what your signers see.

Field types

  • Signature — the signer draws or adopts their signature.
  • Initials — for acknowledging individual pages or clauses.
  • Date signed — filled automatically at the moment of signing.
  • Text — free-typed input for names, titles, or details.
  • Checkbox — for confirmations and opt-ins.

Every field belongs to a specific signer; each person sees only the fields assigned to them.

Signing order

Add signers in the order they should act and enable routing: each signer is only emailed once the previous one finishes. Leave routing off and all signers receive the document at once and sign in parallel.

Reminders and expiration

Enable automatic reminders to nudge signers who haven't finished, and set an expiration date to void the request if it isn't completed in time. Both are per-document settings.

What signers see

Signers receive an email with a secure link. It opens in any browser on any device — no account required. They consent to signing electronically (captured for the audit trail), fill their fields, and finish. You're notified at every step, and the dashboard shows the live status: sent → viewed → signed → completed.

Signing something yourself

Need to sign a document where you're the only signer? Upload it, place your own fields, and self-sign — no email round-trip.
